David Shemilt joins the NCD-UK Team as new Finance Manager. David is a member of St Thomas’ Church in Kidsgrove, where he has been since he became a Christian in August 1977, and where he now ‘multi-tasks’ and has been a Reader for the past 11 years.

After an initial incursion into teaching, David spent 27 years in banking, before becoming Manager of Shallowford House, the Lichfield Diocese Retreat and Conference Centre, until January 2010, and where he now works part-time. David has been married to Sue for 41 years, and they have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys walking, golf (some say it spoils a good walk), listening to music and reading.
